Newport Ambulance Service offers insurance billing services for Vermont ambulance services. We are able to offer electronic billing of medicare and medicaid claims for faster trunaround times on payments. If insurance information is not available at the time of an incident, NAS will contact the hospital or the patient to get information to process claims. NAS provides bimonthly statements and year-end incident statistics to their billing clients. In addition, NAS will keep client services current with Health Care Finance Administration (HCFA) rules.
Newport Ambulance Serivice currently provides billing services for Barton Ambulance, Brighton Rescue, Glover Ambulance, Derby Line Ambulance, Fairfax Rescue, Missisquoi Valley Ambulance, and Charlotte Volunteer Rescue. Since NAS took over billing services for these squads, they have seen increased revenue.
